Maitland Medical are authorised to perform Oil and Gas UK (OGUK – formerly UKOOA) offshore medicals.

Offshore medicals are carried out to ensure that an individual is fit to work in an offshore oil and gas exploration and production environment and workers need to pass a medical examination and hold a valid certificate of fitness if they wish to work offshore.

The OGUK Offshore Medical certificate is normally valid for two years and allows an employee to work in the UK sector or the North Sea.

Please note that Norwegian offshore medical certificates are no longer required in the Norwegian Sector – an Oil and Gas UK medical certificate is now universally accepted in the North Sea.
